Islamic Hijri Calendar

The Islamic calendar is used to determine islamic holidays in the religion of Islam. It consists of 12 months with approximately 354 to 355 days. It has 10 less days than a Gregorian calendar, since it is a lunar calendar. Islamic years are generally named Hijra years, because the primary year of the calendar is when Prophet Muhammad (SAW) performed Hijra when he migrated from Mecca to Medina.
